​What is a Reiki Attunement?

A reiki attunement is the process where reiki passes from the Reiki Master to the student, opening up the students channels so they are able to use reiki to heal.  During your attunement, I (Reiki Master) will touch your head, shoulders, and hands and use special breathing techniques guided by the Higher Power, connecting you to the source of reiki. As reiki energy is guided by the Higher Power, it adjusts itself to be exactly right for you. During the attunement, you may feel warmth coming from my hands, you may see colours or you may have visions of spiritual beings. Some people do not experience things, don't worry if you don't, the attunement will still be working.

How To Prepare For Your Attunement

To prepare for your reiki attunement, it is recommended - if you don't already - to practice daily meditation and be open to receiving the gift of reiki.

 

Have a good understanding of the principles of reiki and to make a commitment to living according to them.

  • First degree The emphasis is on healing self.

  • Second degree You will be able to practise reiki on others. 

  • Master teacher As well as being a Reiki Teacher, a Reiki Master can attune new reiki practitioners.
